Mr Mark Higgins

Mr Higgins is excellent. He told me he could really help with my left hip but I've been in such pain that I couldn't quite believe what he said about how the pain would go. I saw him today for 6 week check up. He was polite and really keen to answer all the questions my son and I bombarded him with even though he'd been in clinic for 6 hours. I really couldn't recommend him enough. I am going back for him to operate on right hip, hopefully soon, and feel really confident that it will all go well. Very often you get a good doctor or consultant but they don't always have the personal charisma and caring attitude that he has. He obviously really enjoys his job - what's not to like about cutting through someone's flesh and putting great chunks of metal in to replace joint! - all in an hour and a half. I hope this post helps anyone who is nervous about having the op. Get it done sooner rather than later - preferably with this excellent surgeon and human being.

I have had a total hip replacement under the care of Mr Mark Higgins - my complete treatment has been excellent from the initial consultation to the recent follow up appointment- recovery has been great - no pain and back to normal after 4 weeks. I would have no hesitation in recommending him

Mr Higgins was pleasant and obviously an excellent surgeon. He offered an opportunity to have my other knee replaced by him, through referral by my GP when it becomes needed.

I can not thank Mr Higgins enough. From meeting him at my consultation to after doing my operation he has always given me great reassurance and confidence with his enthusiasm and dedication for his work. I was told at my first physio appointment that it will be more than likely my other hip will need replacing at some point later on and I would 100% have Mr Higgins do it for me. I am 6 weeks post op now and doing great. My scar is healing amazing and is so neat. Absolutely Amazing!.

Mr Higgins explains everything about the operation on the first visit, he explains things to you before you go down to the theatre. He makes you feel secure . On my 6 week check up he was very pleased with the result, it’s good how he takes time to sort out any problems I may have. Very pleased with Mr Higgins.
